BIOPROS training for IAGs

Training was carried out in Estonia, Tartu 22-25.09.2008. All partners were beforehand provided with the Agenda of the training workshop. Theoretical courses were mixed with different field tours in order to give better overview about different training topics, to implement the participants practice with different training methods and to encourage the more informal discussions between different groups. Before the first field tour the training participants were provided with a small textbook with info about different field tour objects. During the courses several partners carried out their lectures on different aspects of SRC. Each lecture was followed by a question-answer session. During the field tours the workshop participants visited different short rotation coppice plantations, wastewater purification plants and a distant heating boiler house. As the weather was very suitable for open-door activities the duration of the field tours was sometimes longer than expected by the agenda. During the last day the participants from IAGs reported about their plans for future activities in Task 4.2. (Training of SMEs by IAGs and RTDs) and the preliminary time schedule for the next two months. Close cooperation between the local IAG and the supporting RTD was also foreseen. Altogether there were 37 persons taking actively part in the workshop. The event was also mentioned in the news of different Estonian newspapers and radio.
